Green Peas Pancakes

Ingredients
  

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup Whole Green gram soaked for 30 minutes and drain
  • ¼ cup Chana dal soaked for 1 hour and drain
  • ½ cup Green peas
  • ¼ cup Carrot,grated
  • ¼ cup Onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves,chopped
  • ½ tsp Garlic, chopped
  • ½ tsp Green chillies, chopped
  • ½ tsp Ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp Jeera powder
  • 1 tbsp Oil for greasing and cooking
  • 1 tsp White til
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Grind the soaked dals and the green peas. Mix in the chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  • Add the finely chopped onions, grated carrot, jeera powder, and salt to taste to the batter in a large mixing bowl.
  • Heat the non stick tawa. Spread a ladle full of batter to form a pancake. Cook till light brown on both sides, drizzling a little oil on the sides
  • Serve hot with sauce/chutney of your choice

Notes

Highlights:
  • Moong dal, Chana Dal and Peas contain good levels of fibre, protein and folate making this a healthy recipe.
