Peel apples, slice thinly
Mix with 2- 3 teaspoon of sugar or honey, half of the milk and cinnamon powder
Grease a deep flat baking dish with little butter and place the above apple mixture in it
In another mixing bowl prepare the crumble
Mix the powdered oats and powdered biscuits
Add the blanched slivered almonds, pumpkin seeds and castor sugar to the above mixture
Mix the above ingredients well, and place the chilled butter in the centre of the mixture
Mix gently with finger- tips to get a bread - crumbs like texture (short-crust pastry method)
Gently press down this pastry mixture on top of the prepared apple layer
Drizzle/spray a little milk on top, dot with little butter
Bake in a moderately hot oven (175degC) for 15-20 minutes or till done.
Alternatively, it can be microwaved for 5 minutes
Serve by itself or with whipped cream/ vanilla ice-cream
