Apple Crumble

Ingredients
  

Ingredients A:

  • ½ cup Oats roast slightly and powdered (You may use all-purpose flour if you desire)
  • ¼ cup Biscuits - Good-day or Karachi powdered
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • tbsp Castor sugar or to taste, or Honey to taste
  • 1 tbsp Almonds slivered
  • 1 tbsp Pumpkin seeds -1 tablespoon

Ingredients A:

  • 1 cup Apples peeled sliced
  • 1-2 tbsp Milk
  • Cinnamon powder-a few pinches

Instructions
 

  • Peel apples, slice thinly
  • Mix with 2- 3 teaspoon of sugar or honey, half of the milk and cinnamon powder
  • Grease a deep flat baking dish with little butter and place the above apple mixture in it
  • In another mixing bowl prepare the crumble
  • Mix the powdered oats and powdered biscuits
  • Add the blanched slivered almonds, pumpkin seeds and castor sugar to the above mixture
  • Mix the above ingredients well, and place the chilled butter in the centre of the mixture
  • Mix gently with finger- tips to get a bread - crumbs like texture (short-crust pastry method)
  • Gently press down this pastry mixture on top of the prepared apple layer
  • Drizzle/spray a little milk on top, dot with little butter
  • Bake in a moderately hot oven (175degC) for 15-20 minutes or till done.
  • Alternatively, it can be microwaved for 5 minutes
  • Serve by itself or with whipped cream/ vanilla ice-cream
