Coconut Garlic Chutney

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup Scraped coconut
  • 1 tbsp Chana dal Dalia
  • 2-3  Dry Red Chilli
  • 5-6 flakes Garlic
  • ¼ inch Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Onion
  • ½ Tamarind - lemon size or to taste
  • 7-8 Curry leaves - in number
  • Salt-to taste

For Vaghar

  • 2 tsp Oil
  • ½ tsp Rai
  • ½ tsp Urad dal
  • 1 Green chili
  • 2 Curry leaves
  • Few pinches Hing

Instructions
 

  • Grind the chana dal Dalia
  • Add the remaining ingredients : “A” and grind adding a little water
  • Adjust the seasonings
  • Transfer the chutney into a serving bowl
  • Give a “Vagar” using Ingredients : “B”
  • Serve with idlis, Dosas or other snacks
