Chickoo Banana Dates Custard

Ingredients
  

  • cup Skim milk
  • ½ tbsp Apple (peeled and cut into small pieces)
  • ½ tbsp Grapes (peeled and cut into small pieces)
  • ½ tbsp Chickoo (peeled and cut into small pieces)
  • ½ tbsp Banana (peeled and cut into small pieces)
  • 2 tbsp Dates, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Walnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Custard powder/rajgira powder
  • 2 tbsp Skim milk powder
  • You can add the fruits of your choice

Instructions
 

  • Mix skim milk powder into 2 cups of milk and heat n a very low flame in a thick bottomed saucepan
  • In a small bowl combine 1/4th cup of milk and 2 tablespoon of custard powder/ rajgira powder, blend well and keep aside
  • Gradually add the custard powder – milk mixture to the milk in the saucepan and continue whisking on a very low flame to prevent formation of lumps.
  • Continue cooking till the custard thickens, put off flame and set aside to cool, stirring intermittently
  • Once the custard has cooled, chop the fruits and mix them along with the dry fruits into the custard.
  • Portion out into serving bowls and serve chilled
  • Note: If using rajgira powder you may add a few drops of vanilla essence if desired
