Ingredients A

  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp Soya flour
  • ½ tsp Ajwain (slightly roasted and powdered)
  • 1-2 Green chilly
  • 1 medium bunch Palak
  • Salt- to taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil for making the parathas

Ingredients B

  • ½ cup Paneer – grated*
  • 1 cube Cheese – grated
  • ¼ tsp Chili powder
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala
  • Salt- to taste
  • *Can use tofu in place of paneer


For A

  • Clean, wash and blanch palak
  • Grind to a smooth paste the blanched palak and green chili
  • In a large mixing bowl add the 2 flour, salt, ajwain powder and 1 tablespoon oil mix well
  • Knead the above mixture to a soft pliable doughwith palak and green chilli puree, you may add water if needed
  • Apply 1 tbsp oil on your palms knead well
  • Keep aside covered in damp cloth

For B

  • Blend the paneer well with chili powder garam masala powder salt add the grated cheese and mixed thoroughly
  • Adjust seasoning

To Assemble

  • Make medium size ball of the palak dough
  • Make same number of balls of paneer mixture
  • Roll, cut each palak dough into a medium sizedpuri, place the ball of paneer and seal well into a circular shaped
  • Roll out the paratha gently using dry flourensuring that the filling does not come out
  • When the palak is rolled out cook it on a hot tawa on both the sides applying a little oil cookwell till done
  • Serve hot with raita and pickle
