Poushtik Nachni Khajur Khirni
Ingredients
- 1 cup Soya milk
- 3 cup Milk
- 4 tbsp Ragi malt Nachni satva - 4 tablespoon
- 4 tbsp Jaggery powder
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 2 tsp Garden-cress seeds soaked in water for 7-10 minutes
- 1 Cardamom or vanilla essence-few drops
- 4 tsp Almond slivers
- 4 tsp Chopped dates
Instructions
- Blend the ragi flour with soymilk and milk in a cooking pan
- Boil the mixture together for 5-7 minutes stirring continuously
- Add the soaked garden-cress seeds, cardamom pd/vanilla essence
- Put off the flame, stir in the honey
- Serve hot into bowls garnished with almond slivers and chopped dates
Notes
- A nutritious sugar free recipe, filled with the good quality protein from milk
- Ragi contribute to calcium and iron content in the recipe.
- Garden cress seeds, almonds and dates are a good source of fibre, antioxidants and phytonutrients.
